Liam's Baptism

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...at least here at CFB Petawawa! It seems as though everyone is putting up their lights outside this week, and I see glimpses of Christmas trees in almost everyone's windows now. I LOVE it!! :) I am such a Christmas-a-holic!! We put up our own tree this week after a long discussion about real tree vs. fake tree. I am a real tree girl all the way, but our fake tree looks nice, doesn't need to be watered, and I don't have to worry about Liam or Chloe eating the needles. Since we are planning on being in Ottawa over the holidays, we decided on the fake tree again this year. A little bummed out, but it looks pretty and makes me feel happy, so I guess it's all good.
Today was a busy day (like most of our days around here). Liam is still having trouble getting to sleep at night, most likely due to teething and a growth spurt, so he has been sleeping in almost every morning lately. I first heard him stirring this morning at about 7:30, and he didn't fully wake up until about 8. After a bottle, some yogurt for breakfast (all I could convince him to eat), and a little bit of playing, I bundle Liam all up for a walk to the swimming pool with Addy and Pauline. It was Addy's first time ever in a pool, and she loved it. Liam always loves it, and today was no different. I was contemplating taking him down the waterslide since he loves it so much, but I was too chicken today! lol
After swimming, we walked over to Timmies for some coffee and started our chilly walk home. Both kids fell fast asleep about..hmmm....2 seconds into the walk (swimming always knocks lil man right out!), so we just took our time and chatted the whole way home. I am SO thankful to have such a great friend finally here in Pet! We are both in exactly the same boat family-wise, and both of our husbands are military cooks...so we always have a lot to talk about. And the kids love hanging out with each other. Love it!
Handome Boy!

In other news, my son is FINALLY baptized!!! Can I hear a hallelujah?? lol We had a ceremony in Ottawa this past Sunday, with all of our close friends and family in attendance. We chose my brother, Matt, and my sister-in-law, Kathy, as his godparents (cuz he just loves them SO much!), and everything went without a hitch (even though we had missed the info session so we had no idea what we were doing). Liam was ridiculously cute in his little white suit...and he wouldn't stay still during the whole ceremony. He kept crawling up and down the pews. It was super important to be that he be baptized, so I feel a little like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders.

Being welcomed to our faith :)

Now it's down to planning his...get this...FIRST BIRTHDAY party!!!!!! Where did this year go?
